A NOTE FROM MICHELE
This design happened by mistake during a collection I was developing in '91. I had a top that was coming off of the sewing machine and found it was too small, looking extremely tiny and unwearable. I didn't want to lose a sample that was costing me both time and effort, so I tried to cut into the sleeve and see if I could still keep it for my personal wardrobe. While I was cutting the sleeve, I stopped halfway through the design and got inspired by the cut lines. Once I tried it on I loved it so much I knew I had to make it part of the line. To bring me luck I thought the best seller should return from the archives with Bisou Bisou Nouvelle Couture. I brought back the top I loved so much with the Milla. By coincidence, cutouts happen to be a huge trend that are still relevant 20 years later - and just as eye-catching.
