Today's offering showcases this classic Certified Pre-Owned ladies vermeil Cartier Tank watch. It has the traditional Cartier features: An iconic tank case, blue steel "epee" hands, and sapphire topped crown.
But what makes this Cartier so striking is that the company made the dial in their beautiful Trinity style with the hues of gold, silver, and copper.
It also has its original Cartier Swiss-made mechanical movement. Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of cheaper quartz movements for many wristwatches, Cartier contracted with watch manufacturers to produce mechanical movements designed to last a lifetime. Using traditional watchmaking practices, these gifted craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch. As a result, Cartier wristwatches with mechanical movements are often more sought after by collectors than their quartz counterparts.
It is all-original down to the band and buckle and presents very nicely on the wrist. It is in honest original condition and appears never to have been polished.
Its dial is original and mint. Its case is excellent condition with light wear and no gold wear-through.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and installed a correct new mineral glass crystal made for this model making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
